Effectively Managing Expectations and Goals

Aligning on expectations and setting clear goals are critical requirements for team members before moving into the “action” of execution and implementation. These skills are equally about managing your manager’s expectations and engagement as they are about communicating your own expectations and goals to your own teams.  

Have you been in a situation where you are not sure about what your manager expects from you? You are probably afraid to take risks and hesitate before making key decisions. How does this impact on your own team’s behaviors and results? And have you been in a situation where your team has not behaved in line with your expectations?

Key Learning Factors in this Session

• In this program we learn the key factors and structures for Setting clear and practical Goals that meet or exceed company needs – whilst ensuring that team members are fully “on board” and motivated in line with their individual expectations.

• We look at factors for achieving combined motivation and performance – including formal and informal expectations. We look at our own Engagement and Expectation factors via world renowned Harrison Assessments – with our own personal leadership and management preferences in focus.

• The latest science of setting shared and engaging goals for motivated and sustainable high performance – and the power of focusing on primary action objectives – rather than secondary goals.

• The focus is not only on learning latest science and new tools – but also on learning how to create the team context within which the tools will be successful.
